Catt on the Matt

A Fun Cello Duet

Catt on the Matt is a fun cello duet written by Sheila Joynes for her colleague and friend Matt Peters.  It was performed by them both for the first time at the Mayor of Worcester's Christmas Charity Concert in 2009.

Both parts of this piece require around Grade 6 competence on Cello.  With both cellos echoing cat sounds, it is a delightful piece for teacher and pupil, or two pupils to perform together.  It makes an excellent, short, fun concert piece for any not-too-serious occasion.
