About Sheila's videos and how to download them

Sheila's videos are supplied as .wmv files suitable for playing in many media players including Windows Media Player.  The duration can be anywhere from 10 to 40 minutes depending on the content.  A Broadband Internet connection will be required for downloading; especially some of the new high definition, widescreen files which are 250mb.

For Apple Macontish Users

Apple Macintosh users who may not already have a suitable player for .WMV files can choose one to download, free, from this link.
   
About the downloads:

On completing and paying for your purchase you will receive two emails.  The first of these will be a receipt; this will arrive immediately.  The second may take up to 5 minutes to receive although it usually arrives a few seconds later.  Our server will prepare your download(s) and assign each of them a special download link created just for you.  These links will be in this second email.

When you click the links:

What happens next depends on your computer type, operating system, what email system you are using and your Web browser.

"Save or Open?"  If you are given the choice of saving or opening the file, obviously choose [Save] and pick a place on your computer hard drive to save the video(s) so you can keep them and watch them as many times as you wish.

Media Player starts playing the video.  If this happens automatically, this will use up one of your downloads, so what you need to do is stop it playing and save the file instead.  This is easy; let the video start playing then click the Media Player [Pause] button.  If you cannot see a menu at the top of the Media Player window showing [File] [View] [Play] [Tools] [Help], simply hold down the Ctrl key and press 'M' to bring up the Menu.

Then, using the Media Player menu, choose [File]  [Save As . . ."] .  Your file will now be saved instead of playing.  You should see a progreess bar while this is happening.  Once the download is complete and you have the video safely stored, close Media Player and click the next video link (if you have one) and so on.

Problems Downloading?  No Emails Arrived?

If you have any problems, or by any chance you've registered with a non-valid email address, or you made a mistake typing your email address, or indeed, if you just simply can't wait, this is what to do:

Return to Sheila's Shop Homepage and log in with the email address you originally signed up with, and your password.  Click on [Your Account] then [Order History] then on your [order number] on the left.  You will find your download links on the left hand side of this page.  If, when you click them, your browser gives you a choice of "Open" or "Save", obviously, use the "Save" option to save the video to your own PC so you can watch it as many times as you wish.  (When you click these links, follow the same basic process as set out above.)

Time and Download Limits:

You have 7 days to download your purchases and you can have up to 5 tries - just in case you encounter any internet connection problems.  You could also download a copy to each of two or more of your own PCs if you wish - that's fine by us, just don't give copies away to other people please, Sheila has priced tham at a level everybody can afford.
